I've tried every restart, turning off/turning back on (the cellphone, and its Bluetooth), pressing the power cord 3xs, uninstalling and re-installing the Fitbit app, every single method listed for trying to resolve the problems. We actually have 2 Charge 5 Fitbits. The phones' Bluetooth recognizes each of them, but can't pair with either one.

Hello there, @SnailsPaceFarm. Thanks for stopping by in the forums and trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out.
While reading your post, I was wondering if you are trying to connect the two Charge 5 with the Samsung A12? Do you guys have a separate account for each Charge 5? If so, in this case what you'll need to do is log out every time one of you want to sync your device.
However, if you want to pair both Charge 5 to the same Fitbit account, please know this is not possible. You can't connect multiple devices that use an app gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge series, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense series, Fitbit Versa series, and Google Pixel Watch, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time. For more information, see Can I use more than one Fitbit device with the same account?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Thank you to the Fitbit Moderator for the useful information. I also found another idea on a different Charge 5 non-pairing post. The Moderator suggested re-registering the Fitbit device by putting it on the charge, then following the prompts on the Fitbit app to re-register. By doing this, the app showed that "location permissions" were turned off or limited. They needed to be turned on before proceeding. Once that was done, everything fell into place, including an update to the Charge 5 itself. Everything is working like brand new again! Very pleased!
