Charge 5 won't receive battery low notifications

My Charge 5 battery is working just fine... Will hold a charge 5-7 days as expected. The problem is that the % is completely off. I can charge it to 100% but when it's at 6 days, it'll show ~50% remaining and it'll die without warning. What gives?

Hi there, @RandomName3. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I understand where your concern is coming from. I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, I'd like to share with you that in order to receive up-to-date battery low notifications, you'll need to make sure that your Fitbit device is syncing to your Fitbit app periodically. This notification works based on how often your Fitbit device syncs, if your Charge 5 doesn't sync to your Fitbit app there is no way for it to send you a notification letting you know that the battery is low.

If by any chance you're running into syncing issues, please see Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Lastly, please check if you've followed the steps provided here to properly enable the battery low notifications.

Remember that you can always check the battery level of your Charge 5 by swiping up from the clock face.

Thanks but my syncing and low battery indicator are both enabled. The issue is that the battery indicator does not reflect the real battery left remaining. I.e., when the indicator is at ~50%, the actual battery life is near 0% and hence no low battery indicator will be sent.

@RandomName3 Thanks for getting back and the details shared.

To better assist you, please restart your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? and try to change your clock face. Once this has been done, please keep an eye on your Charge 5's battery behavior and see if the issue gets solved.

I will be around if you need further help.

I get this all the time. The watch and the app both show 75%. I sync and it shows 75%. I 3 button reboot and it drops, usually 8-10%, but I’ve seen it as much as 50%.  This isn’t a sync problem. I usually just charge it every 4-5 days regardless of what the battery says. I use it as an alarm clock and can’t have it unreliably die.

How do you three button reboot? I tried restarting my device and changing the clock face but it still doesn't show the right battery %.
