Charge 5 started acting up yesterday. Seemed to be working then it wouldn't wake up. Suspected low battery so put it on charger. Left on for several hours. Still couldn't get screen to wake up. Tried the delete the app and try to resync - no joy wouldn't connect. So went through the restart process - clicking the button on the charger three times. Got a variety of reactions. At one point logo just stuck on and didn't move. Several attempts later had it alternating pulsing and the logo. At one point just had endless pulsing. So gave up and left it on charger overnight. Still can't get it to react right today. Tried restart process several more times. Most I can get today is a couple of pulses. No logo. Acts as if there was a software update that didn't take. Is there any other trick to get the think to reboot?

Hi there, @Kstark65. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5.
As per the description of your post, it seems like your Charge 5 ran out of battery completely. If you've tried charging your Charge 5 for more than 2 hours but to no avail, please see Why ins't my FItbit device's battery charging?
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Same thing happened to me. I talked to agent on chat for 45 minutes and walked me through the simple resetting which didn’t work. He also told me the watch is defective. I’m pretty sure I’m out of the 1-year warranty period. I’m angry and not happy because this is clearly a bad firmware on Fitbit’s part, as opposed to defective device that I should suffer the consequence of being out of warranty…

Same for me. Not respondent. Only vi one screen showing and can’t change that. Charging out fast out of nowhere. Nothing works

Same thing happened to me, except the logo would appear but screen remained blacked out. Device is on but can’t seen anything, screen is non-responsive. Tried everything and couldn’t reconnect to app cause the screen remains blacked out (can’t enter 4 digit code cause screen is blank). Contacted Fitbit and went through some troubleshooting (which if had already done) and resulted in getting a free replacement. However they never told me what the cause was. Seems a coincidence it happened after firmware update on the device.

Update: called customer service. Had me wipe off charger and back of Fitbit with rubbing alcohol. Still didn't get a pulse when plugging it in. Said that it was a battery issue and luckily I am still within warranty period. Sending me a replacement.

Similar problems all of a sudden yesterday. Would not respond to finger tap. Thought it needed charging. At first it wouldn’t take the charge or respond. Did the reset using the charging cable and finally got it to come to life. Charges no problem now, but the battery drains from 100% to 0% in an hour. Have reset multiple times and wiped data…out of options. Disappointing…
