Charge 5 won't show clock during a run. It just asks questions that I don't know how to answer. Am I running, would I like to pause, should I save this run?

Where is the (STFU) home button?

It's gets stuck on a pay screen after charging and wont show time either.

It seems like a horrible design to ignore all user input when it used to respond to the button.

Each generation makes the UI a little harder to use.

Hello @bconklin

I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems with your Charge 5.

There is no home button anymore but if you tap twice on a screen, it should bring you back to the Clock Face.  The screen is quite sensitive so it’s often a good idea to tap in a corner rather than the  centre so you don’t set an unintended action off.

if you’re running and you started a run from the Exercise Shortcut on your Charge 5, you can tap on the little arrow at the bottom of the screen to scroll though the stats.  One of them is the time.

Sorry the pictures are not great but I’m on the train.

The Pay screen (green) is one screen away from the Clock Face.  If you tap twice in the corner, it should bring you back to the Clock Face.
Alternatively, you could scroll up once and the Clock Face should appear.

I hope this helps you a bit.

If you go to a screen yourself then you can always go back.

When the fitbit does it, there is no way to go back.

At 10 minutes before the hour, you cannot see the clock until the fitbit decides that it's done with that alert.

Auto run just pummels the screen with notifications and questions to the point that seeing the time is hopeless.

@bconklin  If you would like to turn off the heart rate zone alerts during a run (which I personally find incredibly annoying), you can do that by scrolling down from the Clock Face to Settings, tapping then scrolling up until you get to Heart Zone Notifications and you can toggle it to Off.  That will stop them during exercise.

If you don’t want the reminder at 10 minutes to the hour and don’t care about getting 250 steps each hour, you can switch it off from the App.  Go to the Today Screen, tap your profile picture.  Select Charge 5.  Tap, and scroll down to Reminders To Move.  Tap and change it to Off.

I hope that helps a bit.
