Charge 5 won't show my distance

On a known, walk my wife's Charge 5 showed ~4500 steps and 0.12 miles. Mine showed ~4500 steps and 2.1 miles (and no, I'm not dyslexic). This has happened a couple of times now. We've checked the stride, height, etc. but to no avail.

 

The other day on a known walk, the number of steps and miles were accurate for both hers and mine.

 

What could possibly be the issue. It only happens to her watch and not mine.

You don't say anything about how the 2 of you are measuring distance.  Are you both using the same method?

No GPS, connected to phone's GPS, Fitbit internal GPS?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
