Hi there, @Cat21_. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 5.
According to your post, it seems like your Charge 5 is not syncing even when you mentioned that you've tried syncing it. Would you mind checking when was the last time sync of your Charge 5? With that being said, please try the following steps:
- Unpair your Charge 5 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
- Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
- Force quit the Fitbit app.
- Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
- Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
- Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
- Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
- Set up your Charge 5.
- If there is no connection, restart your Charge 5.
- Once your Charge 5 is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.
With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Charge 5 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.
Once you manage to sync your Charge 5, the time should be corrected. Keep in mind that your Fitbit device uses the time of the device you're syncing with.
Was my post helpful? Give it a thumbs up to show your appreciation! Of course, if this was the answer you were looking for, don't forget to make it the Best Answer! Als...

Hello @Cat21_
Have you double checked your time & location settings in the Fitbit app? Here are instructions in case you need them:
- From the Today page in the Fitbit app, tap on your picture/icon in the upper left to open the Account page
- Swipe up to see Settings and tap on App Settings
- Automatic Time Zone and Automatic location should be turned on. If not, tap the dot on the right to turn them on.
- Tap on the arrows in the upper left to return to the Today page and sync
If Automatic Time Zone and Automatic location were turned on, then turn them off and sync. Then, go back to App Settings to turn them back on and sync again. This often fixes the time on your device.
One other troubleshooting step that you can try if the above didn't fix the time is to change the time zone to a different one, sync your device, then turn Automatic Time Zone back on and sync.
