I got my Charge 5 Fitbit slightly wet and it stopped working. After drying it out and it restarting, it will charge but battery is low after 3 hours then it dies. Also my steps will no longer calculate. I’ve tried many fixes but nothing works. Please help.

Hi @Csparks01. Welcome to the community forums.
Thank you for providing the details regarding your Charge 5 and for trying to fix it on your own after drying it.
If your device gets wet, it’s important to take it off and dry it well before putting it back on. If your device comes into contact with any liquid other than fresh water, you should clean it with fresh water and a soap-free cleanser (like Cetaphil) and dry it with a lint free-cloth.
Water resistance may diminish over time and can be negatively impacted by any of the following:
- Dropping the device.
- Exposing the device to soaps, shampoos, conditioners, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, or sunscreen.
- Exposing the device to high-velocity water (for example, during water sports).
Please read the points listed in this help article to prevent the device's battery from draining.
