So I just got my Fitbit charge 5 today set it up on my phones blutooth, and integrated it to my walkfit fitness app. I walk and the fitbit counts my steps but my walkfit doesn't show an update. It started to update every 15 minutes and now it no longer does. I've unconnected, reconnected, logged in, logged out, and restarted my phone over 3 times and it is still doing it. Is this a fitbit issue or is this my fitness app issue?
Edit: 3-23 still had issues up till yesterday I did a Fitbit update I believe from 3-18. Every time I opened the Fitbit app and my WalkFit app it would finally sync correctly, but I stopped doing that after so long and this morning my steps in Fitbit were 4541 but according to WalkFit it was only 1802. I think every so often I have to open both apps for them to sync correctly. Just a thought. Going to try this over the weekend. Open apps for them to sync every couple of hours. Shouldn’t have to do that, but I guess it’s better than not working at all.

Mine stopped synching the sleep data two days ago. I tried restarting the watch, logging out of the app,, restarting the phone, and the other suggestions including changing the clock face but nothing worked.

Mines not syncing either - clearly a wider issue.

Hello @Bixleyblue , @Charlieeepimpin , @Nedular , and @FitbitUser623
I checked the Fitbit.com status and didn't see any reports for a system-wide issue. So, your current problems with sync doesn't appear to be related to Fitbit servers.

Hello @SunsetRunner
I take it that when you say that you unconnected & reconnected, you're referring to the connection between the Fitbit app & your walkfit app.
It does seem that it's strange that you were able to get updates for a while, but now the apps are not communicating with each other.
I'm hoping that someone who has experiencing using both apps will chime in with some guidance.

my Charge 5 logged my steps after midnight, before bed last night. Woke up this morning and nothing is working. Won't charge, still shows the same steps, no sleep tracking. Verified on the app and on the website in my account. All show the same. Checked with a few friends that also have Charge 5 and some are experiencing the same thing, but not all of them apparently. Rebooted the phone, tried multiple ways to charge the Charge... display is on but not updating.
I really don't want to reset the device as I am in several work step challenges (We get HSA $ based on these things!)
But what changed overnight and why is Google / Fitbit not telling?

My watch quit counting steps at 11:35 this morning and is now acting like the app does not exist on my phone it quit showing anything it just displays a message to download the app. Are they doing something for daylights saving and screwed up the system?

It's the same for me. I've had mine since last summer. Yesterday it synced as usual and this morning it just wouldn't sync. I've restarted my phone several times and also charged my Fitbit and put it back in the charger several times. Tried to connect it in the Bluetooth settings of my phone, but even though my phone can find the device, it still won't connect.

Exact same thing happening to mine. Very frustrated as this has been my fourth Fitbit since I joined in 2018 (bought last summer 2023) and they seem to be lasting less and less time. I’m saddened that it seems Fitbit is going the way of so many companies who suck you in, get you hooked on a product, relying on it and then don’t stand by it when there’s a problem.

Here it's also the same. I've tried everything, ... several restarts of the device itself, removed the Fitbit app (a few times) from my iPhone and downloaded and installed it again but nothing helps. With this version of the Charge I've had nothing but troubles, my charge 3 didn't have issues at all. This charge 5 is my second one (luckily the previous problem occurred within the warranty). I don't think that my next one will be a Fitbit.

Same here. Since March update (Pixel 6a), Charge 5 not syncing. My wife's Luxe syncs fine on same phone (I sync both on my phone). I've rebooted the Charge and phone, no luck. Were both fine a week ago.
Edit: think I fixed mine. My Charge 5 started acting odd, losing charge really fast. Put it on charger, showed 13%, then 5% an hour later. I pushed the reset button on the charger, and charged normally (4-5 hours). Now it seems to sync. Didn't have any data from last night. My guess is the app thought the 5 was dead (but it still came on with tap), so didn't sync.

Same problem here since March update. Was working fine until last update. It is not syncing anymore... Had try every tutorial on "what to if Charge 5 won't sync". Please fix that, Google!

Same here charge 5 worked great till then. Now same as everyone else on here. I’m gonna hike to the top of Picacho Peak tomorrow and I might just throw it off and buy an Apple Watch. Good luck. Live Free & Roam Far.
