Charge 5 won't track floors

Charge 5 does not have an altimeter. This was a fantastic feature on all the previous Charge models. I was debating on getting a Charge 6 but when I looked and noticed it also didnt have an altimeter, it no longer seemed appealing. Fitbit, bring back the altimeter! Not having it messes with my tracking when I'm hiking on a steep hill and doing a lot of switchbacks.

Hi there, @joan5626. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to track floors with Charge 5. I understand how you must be feeling.

As you know, please note that  floors aren’t tracked on Charge 5, Luxe or any Inspire series devices. Although it is designed without a floor feature, your device can track as many activities as other Fitbit devices does. For more information about your Fitbit Charge 5, you can click this link: Fitbit Charge 5 User Manual.

I understand that but I think that Fitbit should bring that back. My
husband used to have a Fitbit and said the altimeter was the best part
(since it could track the number of floors) and it was great when we did
lots of hiking together. He has pretty much lost interest in Fitbit since
they removed that feature.
