Charge 5 won't track my GPS accurately

When I use the Charge 5 to track my runs, it logs an incomplete exercise that only shows the GPS tracking kick in a minute or two after I begin running, so it misses all the data from the very start of my run. I’m not letting it auto-detect; I’m manually starting the run on my device and watching the screen begin to track my pace/HR/etc. from the very beginning. Am I missing something?

Hello @i_v_w and welcome to the Community.  Every shortcut that has GPS available shows a GPS status on the screen.  I don't have a Charge 5, but it is at the top of the screen of every other Fitbit I used.  There is an animated arrow that moves and it says "GPS connecting...".  Your Fitbit should vibrate and that message will say that your GPS is connected.  Please wait until your GPS connects before tapping on your Start icon.

It normally takes several minutes for the GPS to connect.
