My charge 5 stopped recording heart beat data on my phone last night. The info shows up on the device but there's nothing on the phone. I have tried to chat with customer service (which is a waste of time) and they are telling me I'm on the wrong version of the fitbit software (should be on 3.76) but there is no update available and then I'm on the wrong version of android on my Samsung phone. Assure me that that will fix the problem....

Welcome back to the Fitbit community, @Peppy12!
Sad to hear about your experiences with the Charge 5. First I'd like to clarify that version 3.76 of the Fitbit app has started being rolled out just recently. So it will be available to you soon.
Coming back to your question. If you're missing the Heart Rate tile in your Fitbit app, you can add it by tapping on Edit in the upper right corner of the Today page. Then scroll down to find the Heart Rate tile and tap on the plus sign to the right. Complete by tapping on Done in the upper right corner.
If, however, the Heart Rate tile is being displayed but doesn't show any value, I'd suggest clearing the cache of the Fibit app as a first step. If this doesn't work for you, please force quit the Fitbit app, restart your phone and manually sync your Charge 5 after your phone has rebooted.

Thanks for your reply. I was missing the chart on the phone. the tracker was working fine. The heartbeat graph mysteriously reappeared the next day. There was obviously some type of glitch.
