No way to take this down. No turning back now. No way to save my dignity.

Hi @BJDTien  since the Fitbit is a wrist based device, it relies on our arms swinging, but when you're on a treadmill, why not put it in a pocket or down your sock? It might be able to capture the steps more accurately for you.

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14

Hi @BJDTien -  to look really cool you may be able to get an ankle strap for your watch. They exist for the Versa range.

Hello @BJDTien

I wear this on ankle and it will fit on your Charge 5 as well: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Elastic-Compatible-Fitness-Stretchy/dp/B09NMGBJPQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=...

😉 Super easy to take on and off. That way every step on the treadmill will count for you.

Hello ag @BJDTien

I’m confused about your question being edited as I can only see your original question above. I understood your question perfectly as I’ve had multiple back surgeries that required me to hold the bars of my treadmill because of balance issues in the past. I recommend ankle straps because they worked great for me. I’ve never tried a lanyard before. I hope it works out for you and gives you the step count you deserve despite having to hold the treadmill bars. 😃 Your stepping so it should definitely count. Enjoy the rest of your week and Happy Stepping!

You can't see the: "X has edited your post for clarity." :,) You'll just
have to trust me. It was originally just a suggestion for the fitbit techs
to tweak the device so it would track the steps without requiring an ankle
band or lanyard.

@BJDTien  - was your original description "Track steps while holding treadmill bars"?

And you wanted it to be a suggestion to improve the device the best place for that post is in the feature suggestions forum.

Even so, the suggestions by @SunsetRunner seems like a good suggestion which works also for spinning (indoor biking).
