Charge 5 won't track stress management score

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got this Charge 5 and have been wearing it day and night except to shower, for 2 days now. I take more than 500 steps per day and it’s tracking my heart rate. Can anyone tell me why it won’t show me a stress management score?

Right after you click on it, doesn't it say it takes 14 days to get tuned to you?

My mistake.  As suggested by @Wibby , I was thinking of Readiness score, not stress management.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Hello @QuixoticPanda

It sounds like you’re doing everything right.  It will probably turn up tomorrow or the day after.  I think @JohnnyRow  is thinking about the Readiness Score which needs longer to track and is only available with Premium.

I can’t be sure but I think it takes around 3 days or so for the Stress Management Score to turn up, as it takes into account Heart Rate, sleep and activity.

It should turn up very soon.  Don’t worry,

I hope that helps a bit.

Hi, so the stress management score showed up for one day two days ago and nothing since then. I’ve been wearing it and doing nothing differently from the day when it showed up to now when it’s not showing again. Quite frustrating.

Hello @QuixoticPanda

That's really strange that it stopped showing up after that.  Mine shows a score every day although SpO2 and Skin Temperature have blank days sometimes.

Have you tried restarting your device?  From the Clock Face, scroll down until you reach Settings, tap, then scroll up until you get to Restart Device.  It's quick and easy to do.

Other things to check are whether your App and Charger are up to date.  The Charge 5 should be on Version 20001.149.11

I hope that helps a bit.

Hi, thanks for the help! I restarted it and the app is up to date but it’s still not working. So it gave me a stress management score Sunday but that was it. Also on Sunday it gave me a sleep score and advanced breakdown, but just that day only, like the stress management score. Are the 2 things related? .. Thank you!

Hello again @QuixoticPanda

I think they may well be related.  When I get a low sleep score my stress score is lower too.

I only have the free version so can only see the stats for the Stress Score for a week rather than 30 days so can’t check to see if it was the same case as yours when I didn’t get a sleep score.

If your sleep stages aren’t recording properly that could be the problem.  I’m attaching a link with lots of information about how it’s measured and how to improve it.

Sleep

I’ve also heard that either changing your setting to Normal or Sensitive could help.  Also some people say wearing it on their non-dominant arm whilst sleeping helps.

I hope some of that helps to fix it for you!

Hi there, thanks for the info! It’s working today, both the stress management and sleep score. The only thing I did differently was I didn’t “start sleep now” on the app, I just went to sleep and let it track it on its own. I guess that fixed the issue?.. anyway thanks again for the help!

Do not use "Begin Sleep Now"  as I expect you just read in the link forom @Wibby.  Just let Fitbit handle it; no need to create extra work for yourself.

That's great news @QuixoticPanda !

I'm so glad we could fix your problem.  Yes as @JohnnyRow  says, you shouldn't do anything when you go to bed, your Charge 5 measures sleep best when it's not interfered with.  It's always useful to give as much as information as possible when you have a problem as then we can give more targeted advice more quickly.

I'm so happy that you're getting your scores!  I hope they're good ones!
