About a mo th ago my device started flickering with brigh light. Now it doesn't have a screen, only a solid screen of bright light, when plugged in briefly. I have charged it, reset it 10 times, looked for updates and googled so many other things to try. Please help.

Hi there, @Miss_Amanda. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 5 before reaching out.

As a first approach, please follow @Gr4ndp4's tips and recommendations.

If the restart doesn't work, please make sure that your Charge 5 is charging properly by following the steps below:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit once again.

If none of the steps provided work, please follow Gr4ndp4's advice and chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.

Hi, @Miss_Amanda welcome to the community, try resetting your Charge 5 as demonstrated in this Video. If this fails, I recommend you try changing the clock face to another in the gallery on your phone app.

Still stuck? you should talk to "Customer Support" using the chat facility or phone for a prompt response. You do not mention when you bought your "Charge 5", depending on when & where you bought it you may still have the benefit of Fitbit's warranty

I hope this helps.

Cheers
