I am at my wits end. After putting it on to charge and syncing it, the app says it is at 100% but my device is completely dead will not charge, plus the screen will not turn on. I've cleaned the device and all parts of the charger, tried different bases to plug the charger cord into, and ensured all firmware is up to date. I have even pressed the 3 buttons at the base of the charger and no luck- the screen turns on long enough to show the logo and doesn't turn on again . Please help!!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. Thanks for having taken the time trying to get things fixed by yourself.
To complete please check if the charging pins on the charging adapter can move with a little resistance.
If so, I'd assume that either the charging adapter or your Charge 5 might be defective. Thus I'd suggest to contact Fitbit support for further assistance:
