Hi there, @Doonaq. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Charge 5 is not turning on unless it's connected to the charger. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend trying the following steps in the order listed:

  1. Connect your Fitbit device to the charger.
  2. Quickly lift it off and put it back on.
  3. After a half-second pause, repeat this pick-up-and-place move 3 more times, all within 8 seconds.
  4. Review Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging? and follow the troubleshooting steps.

I have the same issue: the battery drops from 100% to 0% within one day without any changes to settings (no GPS, display off, etc.). Do I understand correctly that performing a restart by lifting and reconnecting three times should resolve the problem?

Hi there, @SGCH. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Charge 5 is draining quickly.

Before performing a restart, I'd recommend making sure that your phone's software version is updated. For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad

If you haven't done so yet, please try all tips and recommendations provided here Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

All updated, settings on Charge 5 were not changed. It dies out and cannot be switched on until plugged in. Then it shows that it’s actually charged. I think it’s a different kind of trouble than just low battery. How can I get it fixed?!

Well, here we go again. A minute ago shows 77% and now boom! , cannot be connected to the app, dark screen. The only way to reanimate it -> connect to the charger.

Hi there, @SGCH. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about your Charge 5's behavior.

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
