I cant seem to figure out how to get my fitbit charge 5 to vibrate when i get a phone call or text message.

All of that is not on. I get the get your arse moving notification. I get notifications that someone calls, but no vibration

Sorry to see you're having problems with the notification vibration on your Charge 5.
A couple of suggestions:
You can make the vibrations stronger from the Settings menu on your Charge 5. Swipe down from the clock face to get to the Settings tile (last one) and tap on it. Swipe up to get to Vibrations. Tap to change from Normal to Strong.
Confirm that Calls & the correct text app are selected in the Fitbit app for your Charge 5 notifications, especially if you use more than 1 app for text/IM. To check:
