My charge 5 was purchased on the 16th of January 2022 now just over a year after purchase it is only working when it is on charge, as soon as it is removed from the charger it dies. I have never had it in water and it has been well looked after.

If none of the solutions mentioned fixes your issue, I'd suggest contacting Fitbit support to check available options:
