Unfortunately this is the latest of several Fitbit products which have not lasted over 18 months - most of which I have endured due to warranty replacements. Tonight I have tried to contact tech support but it appears that the Australian market is not valuable to a US based company and I cannot contact them & all roads lead to Google.
The "Support" portal is an endless loop of telling me that I should contact Google within their operating hours (which appear to be 24/7 for US customers).
Not sure what to do from here onwards?? Any advice from non US based consumers would be greatly appreciated.

There appears to be alot of similar complaints in the last 48 hours. Restarting and Factory resetting is advised in various threads. The factory reset worked for me for 4 whole hours but now I'm back where I started. Good luck
