Similar to other folks, all of a sudden my Charge 5 wont hold a charge like it used to, but nobody has brought up this other side effect where once my screen times out (goes black) it stops working.
So for the past week I have been doing a reset (plug in and push down on button 3 times) and it resets, but again once the screen times out, the Charge 5 stops working again and I cant get it back up unless i do another reset. It only work for a few minutes however because the screen wont perpetually stay on.
I have contacted customer support 3 times. 1 in the chat and called twice. Every time once the reset is done an the screen is back up they think he problem is resolved, but its not. The problem is AFTER the reset and the screen times out again and it stops working again.
Moderator edit: clarified subject.

Welcome to the Fitbit community, @awwyeahoz!
Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working as expected. Thanks for having taken the time to get things fixed by yourself.
As you've mentioned already successfully having reset your device without any impact on this issue, I'd suggest letting the battery drain to the point where your device will shut off. Then please give it a full charge which will require considerably longer than usual as your device's battery is deep discharged this time. If it won't charge, please have a closer look here:
Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
I'll keep my fingers crossed.
