Charge 5 wrist strap deformed my arm

  • My Charge 5 came with 2 wristbands.
  • Neither one fits. I'm 5'5", weigh ~138 pounds, my wrist is small.
  • Tightening the smaller wrist band and pushing it up higher on my arm so it would read heart rate when I'm sleeping left a huge gauge on my arm, underneath the metal casing of the unit.
  • There's no good option to both get a tight enough read for sensors and leave my wrist undeformed.
  • Can I return my Fitbit? I got it free though Medicare health insurance, United Healthcare's Dual complete plan.
  • I just can't wear it comfortably. It works okay but not for 24/7 use.

You don't need to tighten it very much to get the pulse measurement.

I use Charge 5 by holding it in a comfortable position on my wrist and without tightening, and I still get the measurement of pulse, steps, sleep... without any problem. And I've been using it day and night for three months now.

Have you considered getting a different band? I have a smallish wrist and replaced the original Fitbit band with a metal one that has a magnetic clasp. This band allows me a lot more flexibility on how tight I wear my Charge 5. It was less than $20 for a pair of bands from Amazon and well worth the investment to be able to comfortably wear my Charge 5 for 24/7 use.
