Charge Fitbit 5: Delete ALL OLD notificaitons

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just wasted more time with a "chat" support rep.  On my Fitbit Charge 5 (and I've been a customer dating back to Charge 3) I have hundreds of old nofifications dating back to 2017!  Apparently there is no way to delete ALL of these.  I don't have the enegy, time, or bandwidth to go one by one to delete.  With Google buying Fitbit hopefully there will be enhancements to make apps and products more customer friendly.  Oh well ....

@EJNIV Welcome back to the Fitbit community!

Sad to hear that your Charge 5 isn't working properly. As it sometimes works wonders, I'd suggest restarting your device following these instructions:

1.) Connect your Charge 5 to the charging cable which has to be connected to a power source.

2.) Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times within 8 seconds, holding each press for about 1 second(!).

3.) Wait around 10 seconds to see if the Fitbit logo appears.

Thank you for your response and suggestion.  Unfortunately, following the suggestion does nothing to remove hundreds of notifcations on my Fitbit Samsung s22+ cell/mobile phone app.  These date back to 2017 when I had earlier Fitbit Charge devices.  It is time consuming to go notification by notification in order to delete.

Other suggestions?

Thanks

@EJNIV As I'm wearing my Versa 4 right now, I had to have a look in Charge 5's manual to find this:

Manage notifications
Charge 5 stores up to 10 notifications, after which the oldest are replaced as you receive new ones.
Manage notifications in the Notifications app :

Swipe up to scroll through your notifications, and tap any notification to expand it.

Have you tried that?

To delete a notification, tap to expand it, then swipe to the bottom and tap Clear. l
To delete all notifications at once, swipe up until you reach the end of your notifications and tap Clear All.

To exit the notifications screen, swipe right.

Thanks, I have.  No "Clear all" option.  And, as I mentioned, I have hundreds of notifications dating back to 2017.

I just called Premium support to see if anyone had any ideas on clearing the 3-4 year old notifications on my Fitbit Charge 5.  No luck.  Something about a possible firmware update or app update that might remove those (that are supposed to be deleted automatically after 30 days I think).  It's little "issues" like this (plus my sleep scores have not worked since 11/2/22) that trigger my loss of faith in Fitbit.  Was thinking that the Google acquisition of Fitbit might trigger positive changes.  Still too early to tell I guess.
