Hello - I am a very long time user of Fitbit I just looked at my first stats 2015 ! That’s 10 years of loyalty. Had about 6 or 7 devices over the years and the latest one Charge 5 has a broken clip that attaches to the strap and the watch. UNREPAIRABLE AND AGAIN OUT OF WARRANTY This happened maybe a year ago and I put it in a drawer in disgust and left it.
What frustrates me is the poor build quality - each watch or strap only last a year to two years and I am totally fed up with replacing them. What a waste of money time and resources!
Tracking my weight using aria but now considering an Apple Watch and another system for exercise as daughter and wife love there Apple Watches. They seem to be very strong
Talk me off a cliff google ? You are about to lose 10 years of loyalty .. anyone listening ?
One frustrated customer.

Hi, @Johnny-pudding , you have posted in the Fitbit Community Forum, which is a mostly user to user platform designed for users to help each other with straightforward Fitbit user questions. Unfortunately you are not likely to make much impact posting your particular concerns here - not that I know how you might actually make an impact… But your best bet is to share your concerns in the Product Feedback Forum .
Meanwhile, and speaking practically and moving forward (and also as someone who bought her first Fitbit more than 10 years ago) is there anything we can help you with in the Community Forum? Obviously we can’t do much about any broken plastic bits. I think how long they last must vary depending on person and activity.
I would recommend visiting a retail store and looking at the physical characteristics when you decide on your next purchase. My impression is that the build quality of the Fitbits isn’t very different from other devices selling at a similar price point.
It is fair to say that now that the top of the range products using the Fitbit ecosystem have now moved over to Google and Android, if you are a dedicated iOS user you will not be able to take advantage of the most up to date and fully featured devices using the Fitbit ecosystem (Pixel watches).
As you know, the Charge series continues to be available on both platforms. I have personal experience with the Charge 6 and have found it reliable.
