Charge 5 not responding, black screen..tried charging, now there is a red circle with a white x?

Please, try to sync your device, as shown in the following help article: Try to manually sync your Fitbit device.
Does the app show a pop-up ? 

Also, please restart your Charge 5 : How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hi, I tried all the suggested steps again after the red circle and white X.  The logo came up on the screen went off, back up again several times.  Now back to black unresponsive black screen.  The app on my iPad cannot find the Fitbit.  I tried to contact customer service on chat but it said it wasn’t available?
