Charging to 99 or 100 percent

Hi all

I was wondering if you guys have any idea if it's best to let Fitbit Charge 5 charge until it reaches 100% or is it enough to charge it up to 99%?

I've just done the firmware upgrade and Fitbit is still plugged in with the charger but showing 99% still charging.

Should I let it finish until it reaches 100%?

Thank you!

I rarely charge to anywhere near 100%.  I have read that lithium batteries last best if charge is kept between 20 and 80%.  I'm not sure about that but I advocate charging a bit daily rather than waiting until almost dead, then doing a big charge.  Some people find it works well to just charge while taking a shower; that being just about enough to keep in near steady level.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Yes, I agree.  I charge mine every day when I’m in the shower.

I think I’ve only managed to see mine go to 100% once.

I decided 99% is good enough and I haven’t experienced any problems (touching wood).  It’s been like that with all of my Fitbits over the years.
