Checking the time

Was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this for me?
recently purchased a charge 5

When I lift my wrist to check the time, the time doesn’t appear until you’ve tapped the screen. 
mid there anyway to change the settings so that you don’t have to tap the screen to check the time? 
my old charge 2 used to do it automatically when you lifted your wrist

Hi, @Murf-1911 welcome to the community. from the clock face swipe down to & touch settings>swipe up to & touch screen wake>toggle to auto> return to the clock face. You should now find a flick of your wrist will illuminate the screen.
