Could you confirm that Charge 5 is not appropriate for long lasting activities such as hiking, biking or mountain biking as discreetly mentioned in user manual

When you go for long lasting activities it is likely that you will temporarily loose the GPS signal a few times (e.g., pass through a tunnel, enter a shop to buy drinks). Charge 4 was not capable to map my tracking and was useless and unreliable for these activities (*). Other devises (e.g., Charge 3, Vivosmart 4) or iOS applications (e.g., IPhiGenie, MotionX-GPS) will not terminate the tracking but maintain it and extrapolate the mapping as necessary. Are you saying that Charge 5 does not fit for sports such as hiking, biking or mountain biking ?

Hi, @Wuist! It's saying "might not" as a disclaimer. I can confirm that typically even if GPS signal is briefly lost during the activity you will still get a map at the end.

Hi MakMak

This is an excellent news.

Do you know what software or hardware change was introduced to resolve this long lasting issue with Charge 4 ?

Note: When you go for a long ride and you prepare a trace to do it again with the responsibility of a group we need reliable tools. “Might not” can mean you loose a full day and will not be ready to supervise your group the next weekend as committed !
