My first Fitbit was the Fitbit Charge 5 which I got on its release, and I absolutely loved it. However, I’ve had two replacements as the watch never lasted more than a year. The latest has just stopped working now too, and despite having a few chats with customer advisers over a week ago I still haven’t heard back from support.
Looking at the forums it seems the Charge 5 appears to be the first Fitbit that either has massive design flaws or is purposely designed to be replaced after a really short time? I’m now unsure what to do going forward as the watches seem to be going down in quality, and customer service appears to be going likewise? I really loved my Fitbit, but it seems like they jus aren’t worth it unless you like buying a new watch/model every year or two?
Would appreciate any thoughts from more experienced Fitbit users, as unless I’m mistaken from here and over on the reddit, they seem to be losing a lot of older customers?

I have owned a fitbit for nearly 10 years and currently wear a Fitbit 5. Was extremely happy until the most recent application changes which seems correlated with Googles purchase of Fitbit. Been going downhill since then.
