A while back I was forced to migrate my Fitbit data to Google. "Forced" meaning that Google told me to move it or lose it.
So I moved it.
Now, some months down the road, I downloaded my FITBIT data to perform some data analysis.
It appears to be total garbage AND presented as an excel cvs file with Google made-up headings with no explanation as to what they actually mean.
So migrating all my data to Google was no different than simply ignoring Google, not migrating anything, and "losing" it all. Apparently.

I accepted the Google forced migration of my Fitbit data. Almost five years of biking, running, walking, sleeping, workouts, heart rates, etc..
I just downloaded my Fitbit data from Google.
The ONLY "data" they provide was sleep data. And only monthly averages. And it all looks to be totally garbage data in an unformatted cvs file. Even the obvious data points, like "sleep score", are clearly wrong (comparing them to what I see in my Fitbit phone ap).
Five years of daily data point. Gone.
Heads up Fitbit (or FIT) users.
