Did I misunderstand how sleep tracking works...?

Let me start by saying I'm completely new to fitbits, so know nothing about them or the app.  So the problem here could be my lack of understanding rather than a problem with the device.

I bought a charge 5 yesterday, I slept in it, now I'm trying to find the information on my sleep pattern.

I'm looking at the app on my phone, at "today", the only relevant option I see is "wear your fitbit to bed", with the moon/z icon.  If I click on that it says "sleep score", and is blank. and underneath it says "your monthly sleep profile", then it says I need to wear it for 14 nights to get a sleep profile next month.

I don't want to see a monthly profile, I want to see how I slept last night.  Is this possible?

I tried talking to support via the chat and they said I had to wait 14 days before I could see any daily data, but to be honest the impression I got from interacting with them was that it was either a chatbot, or someone that had never seen a fitbit in their life and was just frantically flipping through a manual and just guessing...

Hi, @jxm2, welcome to the community, you may find How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device? and the links contained in it are useful. I usually manually sync my device twice (in the today screen on your Fitbit app slide your finger down and release, there's a green progress bar at the top) to get the data.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks, looks like I just needed to sync the device, then I could see the information.  Not wait 14 days as the clueless support person suggested... 🙄
