Disable Active Zone Minutes on Charge 5

Is there a way to disable the active zone minutes on the Charge 5? I find these distracting and a drain on the battery. The Charge 2 had a fine interface for me, but mine was wearing out so I bought the Charge 5 and find it to be a disappointing experience since I can't seem to disable the options I don't need.

Hello @KaczGuy and welcome to the Help forum.  I apologize if I misunderstood your post.  You mentioned distractions.  Are you referring to the heart zone notifications that you get?  You can disable them.  They exist in two places, for general activity and in each exercise in the Exercise app.  For the ones that happen when you aren't using the Exercise app -- go to your Settings on the Charge 5 and follow the instructions on p 18 of the Charge 5 manual.  They are also in every exercise.  So when you choose Run, for example, you will see a tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen.  Swipe up and turn off the heart zone notifications.  Do this for each shortcut you use.

Also, if you haven't noticed, the Charge 5 awards active zone minutes, not active minutes like that Charge 2 did.  Active zone minutes use your resting heart rate in the calculation.  They can take some getting used to.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't use the exercise app and I turned on the do not disturb feature (DND=On) but I still get the vibrating, flashing, "Well done" messages from the active zone section (the area with the upwards chevrons). What am I missing to disable it?
Thanks!

@KaczGuy   You should not need to turn on DND to eliminate these notifications.  Please review this Help article and I think you will be set.

I don't wear a Charge 5, but these instructions are the same for my Versa 3.  I don't get these vibrations at all.  I have had mine off since I set up my device.  I think that "Well Done" is a notification that you met your weekly zone minute goal.  Like you, I find these extremely annoying and don't like that they are turned ON by default.

Thanks for your thoughtful consideration. I appreciate your suggestions,  but unfortunately that article didn’t solve my concern, I still get these vibrations and messages.

Ideally, we could just uninstall the apps we don’t want to use, but that’s not a fully implemented feature in the Charge 5.
