Hi - some of the Charge 4 models sold in Japan are able to use the NFC / Felica technology for "Suica" (e-money / "touch and go" for trains).
I'm thinking of buying a Charge 5 in the US - will I be able to use this in Japan, or do only Charge 5 models bought in Japan work with Suica?
Thanks

Hello @tee.gee,
i can't say for sure about Charge 5 but I have Charge 4 bought in US and it does not have the required chip to work here in Japan.
Currently Amazon Japan states specifically the SUICA support so I believe it is for Japan market only
However I'm sure a moderator can be more clear.

@Giampi71 Thanks for the information and screenshot shared.
@tee.gee Hi there. Thanks for your interest in Charge 5.
Even when some Charge 4 sold in Japan are compatible with Suica, we encourage you to post this idea in our Feature Suggestion board, this way our team can review it and take it into consideration. It's also recommended to keep an eye on our Fitbit Blog and forums, as we'll keep updating these pages with more detailed information.
Hope this helps.

This is the related suggestion to include FeliCa chipset in all Fitbit models.
Still @SilviaFitbit you didn't reply to the question posed by @tee.gee : "does Charge 5 universally accept Suica type contact payments?"
