Does the Charge 5 show the heart rate while swimming?

Considering whether to get the Charge 5 or not. What I want is to view my heart rate while swimming, to know whether speed up or not in order to reach my desired heart rate. Does the Charge 5 show the heart rate while swimming?

Thank you for your interest in the Fitbit Charge 5.

 

The heart-rate tracking is disabled during your swim workout on all Fitbit devices that track swimming. During a swimming session you'll be able to see you swim lengths, duration, distance, and pace.

Hi Edson,

Just to clarify, the Charge 5 DOES NOT show swim lengths during a swim. You have to end your swim and sync with your phone to see the number of laps you have completed.

This has been a longtime and frequent complaint of many who swim with the Charge 5.
