Against my better judgment, I did purchase the 6 with the discount offered when the 5 bricked. 

I have had zero issues with the 6, my 4th Fitbit device in 4 years... 😔

Same here, I used the discount offered to order charge 6 last week but it has yet to ship.  I would utilize the warranty and get a new one.  Don't even mess with trouble shooting and trying to fix.
