I had a feeling I was taking a bit of a risk, pre-ordering a gadget item! My exercise app only worked a total of 2 days. After chatting with support on Twitter, I tried a restart before today's workout. Still no. Earlier this week it'd start & then cut out after like 5 min. Tonight the interval training I tried to log didn't register at all, though I'd watched it start up. When I finished I looked at my watch, hoping to hit the stop button, but the app wasn't running. I looked at my phone app. It thought I'd gone for a walk...
🤣And I see the exercise app isn't working for many, and reviews on YouTube describe the product as extremely buggy.
Anyone know if the Charge 5 is reliable?

Just curious why you call it a gadget item. Did you consider it a gadget item before you owned it? Is that designation based on its functions, or on its performance? Do you consider all Fitbits gadget items?

Because by definition it is one. Gadget: a small mechanical or electronic device or tool, especially an ingenious or novel one.
"a state-of-the-art kitchen with every conceivable gadget"
Note: gadget is not a derogatory term.
