So I’ve had my Charge 5 a few months now and can’t work the ECG. I can’t download the app as I’m on apple and when I try to use the ECG function it tells me ‘error, please reopen the application’ which I have many times.

Hi, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums, @Sjacko77.
Thanks for sharing these details about the issue you're experiencing with the Charge 5.
Could you please confirm if you currently reside in the UK or if you're located somewhere else?
May I also know if the Fitbit app is updated? Is your Charge 5 syncing correctly? Have you also completed the Heart Rhythm Assessment on the Fitbit app? In the meantime, please give a try to the following steps:
Hope this helps.

Thank you. Yes currently reside in the UK.
I have the updated the app also.
Have I gone the rhythm assessment? Ooh, I think I did when I first had the watch. Remind me what to do and I’ll re check. When I looked on the Fitbit app the other day I couldn’t find anything about the ECG function at all.
I can’t uninstall the Fitbit ECG app as I don’t have one, I’m on apple not google and therefore no option to get the app which I find bizarre! If I do ever manage to get my watch to record the ECG how do I even view the results if I can’t get the app?
I haven’t though restarted the tracker so will do that now when I find out how I do it.

@Sjacko77 The ECG app is usually already installed on a new device, but if the app is not installed, you can follow the steps listed here. In case it's already installed, you should be able to find it by swiping left on the screen
The Heart Rhythm Assessment can be found within the Assessments & Reports section in the Fitbit app on your phone or tablet. You can find all the details and instructions in this article as well on how to read the results once you have completed a measurement.
