Not real happy with the switch to the Fitbit app... any ideas on how I can see the map and statistics of my recent run? Can't seem to find it in the app...

Hi, @BarnicklBill, welcome, To get a map of your run you need to start the run on your Charge 5, if you use the auto-recognize feature it does not engage the GPS. Check the GPS settings on your Charge 5 - you are offered built-in, dynamic or phone. In my experience (walking) phone is the most reliable as there is a larger battery source & antenna that protects the Charge 5 battery reserve and is less susceptible to environmental impact on GPS signal.
You may be interested in this article How do I use GPS on my Fitbit device? - Fitbit Help Center In the past the switch by "Dynamic" from phone to built-in has not been very reliable thus my advice about using your phone.
Once you complete your run on your Charge 5 force sync the Fitbit app on your phone (by sliding your finger down the "Today" screen & releasing it), your run should then appear as an extension to the "Exercise days" tile, touch the run part to see your stats & a map.
I hope this helps, if you are still stuck please post here again.
Cheers
