Exercise details lost after syncing issues with my Charge 5

Had my Charge 5 for a year or so, never had any issues before a week ago. I noticed my logged exercise data (which had recorded on my watch fine) wasn't syncing to my app in the middle of the day 5 days ago. Since then, I haven't been able to get the app to sync (tried everything, turn wifi off and on, airplane mode, reinstall app, restart watch etch), but things have been recording fine on my watch during that time - including logging exercise. I was just able to get my watch to sync again finally (by repeating the above steps, not sure what worked in the end) and all of my data seems to have logged except my exercise, zone minutes and sleep. Steps, distance, cals, hourly activity all there for the past few days, just exercise, zone minutes and sleep missing! I have tried clearing app cache, re-installing, and yes it's the most up to date version of the app. Anything else I can try to recover this data?? Thanks!

Hi there, @sophruns. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the syncing difficulties you were experiencing with your Charge 5 and the exercise details that were lost due to this inconvenience. I appreciate you took the time to fix this issue before reaching out, I'm pleased you managed to solve the issue.

Based on the description of your post, please note that what you've experienced with your data loss is an expected behavior. Going a bit deeper into this, note that most Fitbit devices store up to 7 days of detailed minute-by-minute data. If you wait longer than 7 days before syncing, you may only see the most recent week's detailed data. Summary data (calories, distance, steps, and floors) will be stored for 30 days. Nevertheless, if your Fitbit device was unpaired from your Fitbit account during this period of time, neither the 7 days can be recovered or restored.

However, if you remember the exact amount of steps or the name of the activity you performed, you can try manually logging the activity. For more information, see How do I manually log exercises in the Fitbit app?

But it hasn't been longer than 7 days? Is there anything I can do to sync
the data from my watch to my app before the 7 days is up?
