Today is the third time in two weeks that the Charge 5 just stops the exercise by itself.
Seems to be the same issue as with the Charge 4: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Charge-4/Exercise-tracking-stops-in-the-middle-of-exercise/td-p/4252...
Not only is it frustrating to not have your workouts registered completely, it also literally costs me money because of a cashback if I score enough points with workouts.
Would appreciate a solution for this.

I posted about this last week. Expect a generic reply asking you to read an article about possible causes. The actual answer, in my opinion, is that the fitbit GPS isn't very good, it disconnects during exercise, and if you really want to track your workouts properly, you need a different device. The fitbit's strength is monitoring heart rate and steps, and using this data to give you good information in an accessible format.

I don't even mind the GPS in itself, just that it suddenly stops the exercise completely by itself.
It either should stay on until I stop the exercise myself, or I should be able to edit my workout session post-workout.

This same thing happens to me. While running or working out, I'll look down to see the clock face. As it turns out each time, the watch stops tracking randomly somewhere during the workout.
This is extremely frustrating for all of the obvious reasons.
