FIRMWARE issue- charge 5

By now, it's painfully obvious that the latest firmware update has caused MANY charge 5 owners a ton of grief with various things, but especially extreme battery drain. My question is why hasn't anyone from Fitbit addressed this issue? You are going to lose a lot of customers over this issue that most likely could be remedied from another firmware update addressing this battery drain problem. It seems that any time someone contacts customer support over this, they are given the cookie-cutter response to turn off everything, do restarts, etc., but this is not a solution and does absolutely nothing to help with an issue that is due to firmware. Turning off everything is not a solution - we bought this model in order to have these features. Otherwise, we'd probably just buy a cheapie normal watch........ Come on, Fitbit; show your customers that they actually matter and get going on a fix for this PLEASE!!

How many of you out there are as frustrated by this as I am?

So glad you posted about this issue! Yesterday I noticed that my battery was draining on this Fitbit, which I had just received as a replacement for a broken Fitbit a month ago. The battery is draining after 6 hours, and the touch screen will no longer work it shows the time but will not change to any other screen. There must have been an automatic firmware update of which I was unaware. I certainly hope they do something to fix this issue quickly. Between these two fitbits I've only had about 2 weeks of working time in the last 2 months!

Yes. I’ve got the extreme battery drain too. I also got the screen going black AGAIN! Hard reset and changing clock face isn’t fixing it this time. 😞

When I contacted customer service, they wouldn’t replace/do ANYTHING because I bought it from Amazon…😡

Add to it that Bluetooth is now always on, so it drains both phone and Fitbit faster… this will be the last Fitbit I own.

How’s Apple Watch, does it at least… work?
