Fibit Charge 5 - black screen

Fiibit charge 5 screen it black unable to read, not responding to tap a or swipe.

Unable to sync to apps and handphone,  Unable to see battery level on apps.

@Joycecsh Have you tried any troubleshooting methods?

 

  • Restart the Charge 5
  • Disconnect and reconnect to bluetooth
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app on your phone
  • Change the clockface if possible

If those methods do not solve your issue, I would reach out to Customer Support.

Anyway I got a replacement after my live chats several times.

It was sent by DHL few days ago..

Yep, I had same problem. First it was acting funny...at one time my screen was just a whole bright light, then it dimmed out, then it just died. No charging, synching, just dead. Had to get a replacement also and it seems to be a common problem now from what I see in the chats. This always happens, needing a replacement. Happened alot on my charge 4 and this one wasn't even 6 months old. Sure it's going to die again after the warranty runs out. I think this might be it for fitbit for me. Too much money for these issues and barely a year.

Dear Theanie.

Thanks and agreed. Always the same problem.  My replaced Charge 5 set is working well, but for how long.  My last set (before replaced) was only 2-3 mths (it was birthday gift)

Previously my  husband got a Charge 4, worked for longer period, then same problem surfaced. We threw it away because there was no servicing centre in Singapore and I was not well equipped and too troublesome to to use 'life chat'

I think it will be better for Fitbit to

look into this problem, the screen always turning blank or back..
