Find My Phone not appearing on my Charge 5

Just received an email stating that Find My Phone should be an option on my Charge 5 and I cannot locate

Thanks for sharing your inquiry about the Charge 5 and the Find My Phone feature. 

 

As you mentioned earlier, the Find My Phone feature should indeed be available on the device. From the main clock screen, you can swipe down to see the Quick Settings menu, you'll be able to see the the Find My Phone feature there, along with other features like Do Not Disturb Mode, Sleep Mode, Fitbit Pay and Water Lock. Let me know if you're able to find it.

I have found that once I completed the latest update, I am able to locate, however the feature does not work consistently.  It worked immediately after install and I have not been able to use this feature successfully since that date.

@claudiaar Thank you for sharing this update. 

Could you please provide a few more details? Let me know if you're receiving any error message or how is this feature behaving when you try to activate it. 

In the meantime, please make sure that you've tried restarting your device using the charging cable: 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press the button located on the flat end of the charger 3 times (end of the USB cable), pausing for 1 second between presses. Then wait 10 seconds or until the Fitbit logo appears.

If you continue to have the same problem, you can also try setting up your Charge 5 as a new device in your account.
