Firmware Update, should I update my recent replacement?

I recently received my replacement pebble for a battery drain issue (lasted under 24 hours).  It of course is out of date as far as firmware goes.  I am really not sure about updating it.  I want the additional clock faces and any other performance updates if there are some but I am also worried it might cause the same issue I originally had.  I am still under the originally warranty for another month.  I see other people say the recent updates affected their device in a bad way but  it doesnt say what version they were updating FROM or how they went about it.  I spent almost 10 years in hardware tech support and I learned for some devices, 'stepping' was necessary to safely update.  There were a number of things you did like make sure the update would go smoothly like you are Plugged into power versus battery and such.  We also had the policy of running all updates before we could replace any hardware. (many updates fixed the issue)  Any advise?
