FitBit 5 Charge cant be reset and goes in boot loop.. Help needed

Hi There,

I have a Charge 5 which was perfectly working fine.. I was away for a 7 day trip and it was working for about 5-6 days.. when i came back it had discharged.

I connected it to charger, and my app said its synced.. but since that the device just goes in a boot loop..

Occasionally, I have gone to get it on the main screen but as soon as the display switches off it restarts ..

I have tried the 3 click restart, the 15 second restart.. I changed the face from the Gallery in the app and still it keeps in the restart cycle..

I also tried to clear data but that did not work and while i tried to clear data it restarted..

I have removed the app from my phone to make sure its not a communication issue or something to do with the app.

Any help or tricks appreciated

Hello I'me experiencing same bug since 3 days : infinite loop, tried pressing the 3 times 1 second during max 8 seconds the hiddend button on USB charge cable but did not resolve the bug. Tried to reset data, not resolved.

I wrote to Fitbit to get an RMA but after 2 exchanges of mail, they still haven't given me the instructions to return it... even though I explained to them the problem of the infinite loop of the bracelet and no emergency solution worked.

This is a persistent problem with Charge 5's and Fitbit hasn't offered any options to fix. Ignoring the issue. Mine's been dead for almost a year now since an update. Good luck.

Hello @FBCrashed

Although it shouldn't have to be this way, you will need to be your own advocate and continue to follow up with Support until you get resolution.

Email is the least effective method of communication with Support. This is the link for Support (<-- click). Complete the prompts until you get to the option to chat or call. You may have better response if you call.

Make sure to keep track of your original case #, too.
