FitBit most resistant to sweat

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My boyfriend is an incredibly sweaty person and his FitBit Charge 5 died on him on a particularly hot day when he was sweating profusely. Many attempts to revive it over many weeks were unsuccessful.

I’d like to get him a new FitBit that’s more robust, but I’m not sure whether people have overcome this issue with newer models. Has anyone had luck with the Charge 6 or other models resisting a lot of sweat? TIA!

Hi, @d1acca, welcome to the community, the Charge 5 (and all Fitbit wearables) is good for swimming (provided it's not damaged). You do not mention how long he has had the Charge 5, small wearable devices have a finite life span dictated by the number of charge/discharge cycles. Check if you still have the benefit of Fitbit's return and warranty policy, if you think you do, reach out to "Customer Support" online or via the Fitbit app help.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
