Anyone know how to sort the battery drain on Fitbit Charge 5 since Google took over. The Charge 5 previously needed charging every week/8days. I’m luck if I get 2/3 days since Google took over. Really unhappy about this as it makes the Charge 5 unreliable.
I’ve gone through previous ‘help’ topics which do not change the issue & despite searching for ‘all day sync’ option I can’t find it.
Please help as I’ll be leaving Fitbit having had Fitbit devices since the beginning! Really frustrated here!!!

Hi @Lizzy1033, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums.
Thank you for bringing the battery issue you are experiencing with your Charge 5 to my attention. While I understand your concerns regarding Google's acquisition of Fitbit, please rest assured that this transition has not impacted your device's hardware, software, or functionality. Let me help you with this issue!
As a first approach, I'd recommend making sure that your phone's software version is updated. For more information, refer to Check & update your Android version or Update your iPhone or iPad
Additionally, I'd suggest following the tips and recommendations provided here Tips to extend your Fitbit device's battery life.
On a side note, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%. Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning).

Hello @Lizzy1033
When my Charge 5 started having rapid battery loss, I restarted and recharged my device multiple times over several days. As soon as I saw a rapid drop in battery, I restarted my Charge 5 and put it on the charger until it was back to 100%, often doing this multiple times in a day. Eventually, this process got my device "unstuck" and the battery went back to lasting 6-7 days. Although there's no guarantee that this will work for you, it might be worth a try.

I had this issue July of last year. My watch was still under warranty and so received a replacement. It's not even a year since the replacement and it started to lose battery rapidly. It was fine 2 weeks ago but last Friday it just started to drop in the time between charging. It's gone from 7-8 days down to 4 days in a week.
I honestly think it's a built in flaw, designed to force you into buying a new watch every 2 years. Crazy, really.
