The ECG app is installed on this newish Charge 5. It asks to go to the Fit bit App. But the Fit bit app on Android displays a button "View Results". Which implies there must be a way to get record and upload the results. A youtube video suggests their should be be some kind of "Start button" on this page Apparently this is missing from my version of the App, recently downloaded from Google Play. So I might as well delete the ECG App from the device, since I cannot use it. I was only curious to try it out, since I have experienced a past episode of AF, and I would be better at detecting this myself than any toy device.
