Fitbit Charge 5 Battery dies within an hour of charging/won't hold charge

Hi there,

I have had my Fitbit Charge 5 for 6 months and as of yesterday it will no longer hold a charge for more than an hour.

I have reset my Fitbit twice now (both from the device Restart and from the charger). I do not have on GPS and the screen is on manual awake. My Fitbit has consistently held a charge for 3-4 days with daily use. It is unfortunate that now I can't wear it for more than an hour meaning I can't track any of my fitness exercises.

Please let me know how I can go about get this resolved.

You need to contact customer support and request immediate replacement for your defective Charge 5. Just look at the multiple threads about this problem, some with more than 60,000 views and you will see that it is affecting an enormous number of purchasers.

This cannot be repaired and your replacement device will come with only the remaining warranty left on your original purchase. Many have had the replacement fail and Fitbit will not replace the device if you are a day beyond one year from the original purchase date.

The same thing is happening w/ my Charge 5. It started about a week ago. I have tried pushing the button on the charging cord 3 times (multiple times). At best it holds the charge for an hour. I tried again a few minutes ago. On the app it said my battery level was less than 4%. When I attached to the charger and hit the button 3 times, the Fitbit log appeared. Within a few minutes the watch displayed that I was at 53% charge. Syncing the app it said 53% also. Strange it went from less than 4% to 53% within minutes. I did swipe down on the watch screen to the settings and reset the device. I am going to let it charge fully from this restart and see if that fixes things. If not, I have no idea what to do other than contact customer service, because I have went through all the trouble shooters I have found online and nothing is fixing it. I am missing over a week of data and as a premium member, this is exceptionally frustrating.
