My Fitbit Charge 5 worked fine until two days ago when the screen went blank. I used the hard restart with the charger that showed it was still charged to 16%. I left it on the charger overnight and it was at 100% within a half an hour it drained to 7%. I checked all the settings and GPS is set to the phone. I have the not always on and is on dim setting. I do not have any notifications on. I also restarted it on the Fitbit itself. Typically I only need to charge it once a week until now. I have been using the Fitbit since June 2023 and bought it at Costco. I do not have the physical receipt. I also have a Fitbit Charge 2 that still works even though the screen is cracked and won't turn on, it still registers to my phone. This is my third Fitbit and the first two I didn't have any real problems.
I do not want to purchase another Fitbit as they are even more expensive. I would like a resolve to this.
Thank you,

I have the same problem. And now, I can't get it to charge.

I have the same issue, hence the fact that I logged in here for the first time and saw that I am not the only one with issues! Mine is deader than dead! Even though my watch said that I have 12% battery life left. And I did all of the above.
By now we are all savvy enough to figure out that there are certain things that we can try ourselves before we try and find more advanced help. I ordered a new charger, no luck! 😭😭

Mine has been doing the same and often dies when seemingly well charged and appears to be linked to GPS activity. Charged it overnight last night so it was at 100% this morning. Cycled to work and once I got to work realised it had turned itself off. Very frustrating. Have tried the hard reset a number of times but it doesn't seem to do any good.

I am suddenly having the same problem. Recharged mine 3 times yesterday to 100 percent only to have it drain within about 3 hours. Restarted twice and checked to make sure nothing is on that drains the battery. VERY frustrating. With no apparent solution.

I'm trying the solution posted elsewhere to remove the SOP2 app from my fitbit. There's a suspicion that some features are causing the battery drain.
