I have had a Fitbit Charge 5 for three years during which time it worked very well. Then three months ago the screen suddenly started to fade and then went to black. I tried all the tips but have now discovered through trial and error that you must keep it charged to 100%, not less, and it all comes back and works fine. That’s all, no need for a refund or replacement.
